Can you imagine anything more fulfilling then dancing to amazing music on a white sanded beach while overlooking astonishing mountains in the sunset... This dreamy picture I got to experience at the festival Cargése Sounds System in Corsica, 6 - 8 of August.

Corsica is truly an amazing island. It's something about the euphoric nature and the friendly people that keep making me feel an urge to come back every summer. This time I was actually traveling around in France, when I got a hold of the list for the festivals line up. As I listened to the artists I realized that I just had to pay a visit to this awesome festival and so this spontaneous adventure began.

Cargése Sounds System was founded by a group devoted locals in 2010. This year, the selection of artists was a mix of local talents and european headliners like ChloéSeth TuxerMollyVaroslavCharlotte and Paul Ritch.

What's special about the festival, is the variation of music (pop, rock and electro/ house) combined with an amazing, natural scenery. Beyond the entrancing music and beautiful nature, it is also the friendly vibe and intimacy that makes this festival so great. The mindset of the festival is said to be quality and personality. My experience of the festival was just that. The organizers were very cool and welcoming as well.

One of my highlights at the festival was the afternoon beach party on the 7th at Plage La Paillote. This because of the brilliant electro/house set delivered by Corsican DJ Charlotte. She delivered electro house with a great pulsation. The energy and flow in the mixes got reflected in the crowd that danced passionately.

After the gig, Charlotte met me to share some words about her experience of the festival, career and future plans;

"The best with playing at the Cargése festival is how it's framing the beauty of the environment. In addition to my performance at this festival, I'm majorly playing in Paris and Marseille but I may also be playing in Istanbul soon".

Charlotte lives in Paris but Is originally from the town of Cargése. Her sets are versatile and gives a variety of electro, minimalistic house and techno.

Charlotte tells me that her love for electronic music once got awaken by influences from the underground scene. She started her career early and at the age of 18 she had already played at many top clubs in South of France. Over time she's been advancing and have been playing on the same scenes as artists that residence at the famous club Berghain in Berlin. The big breakthrough though, came in 2013 when she got to be on the same line up as artists like Molly, Ellen Allien and Seth Tuxler in the 3rd edition of the Cargése Sounds System. In addition to her carrer as a DJ, Charlotte have also started to produce her own music.

"My future plans are to continue to focus on my own productions. I will complete my first EP and then we'll see where It will take me.."

We are looking forward to follow Charlotte on her journey!

On my way home I had a very sweet feeling inside. So many good things was preserved at this one place where I couldn't be happier.  If you get the chance I highly recommend this festival for next year, cause I assure you, It's beyond all you can imagine.
